How can my company/organization regain control of our domain if the vendor is unresponsive?
The steps to regain control of your domain depend on where the domain is registered, either with IP ServerOne or with another domain provider.
If the domain is registered with IP ServerOne:
If your domain is registered with IP ServerOne but is managed by a vendor who is no longer responsive, you may follow these steps:
-
Initiate Contact
Send an email to your vendor and cc us at cs@ipserverone.com so that we can assist in following up directly with the vendor. -
Vendor Follow-Up
We will reach out to the vendor or the person-in-charge listed in our billing records to notify them of your request to regain domain ownership. -
Ownership Transfer Process
Once we receive a response from the person in charge, we will provide you with instructions on how to proceed with the ownership transfer. -
Transfer via Customer Portal
The current person-in-charge can initiate the domain ownership transfer via our Customer Portal.

If the Vendor Remains Unreachable
If we are also unable to reach the current domain manager, we will initiate a verification and forced transfer process:-
We will review the Registrant contact details of the domain. If these details match your organization, we will request a Company Registration Certificate or other supporting documents to verify rightful ownership.
-
Simultaneously, we will attempt to contact the current manager through all available channels.
-
If no response is received after after certain period, and your company is verified as the registrant, we will proceed with a forced ownership transfer to your organization.
⚠️ Please note: This process may take longer due to the required waiting period and efforts to avoid any potential disputes.
-
If the domain is registered with another domain provider:
If your domain is registered with a different domain provider (registrar), IP ServerOne does not have the authority to make changes to the domain ownership.
In this case, you should contact the domain registrar directly to request guidance on the steps needed to regain control and ownership of the domain. You may need to provide proof of ownership and submit supporting documents as part of their recovery or dispute process.
