What is the cost if I stop my NovaCloud GPU instance but keep my volume?

The cost of a NovaCloud GPU instance when stopped depends on whether you choose to stop or shelve the instance.

• If you Stop or Close the Instance:

  • You will still be charged for the resources and RAM used, but at a lower rate compared to when the instance is running (The cost depends on the instance plan you set up).

  • Volume charges will continue as normal. (The cost varies depending on the total volume)

• If you Shelve the Instance:

  • You will not be charged for the instance itself.

  • Reserved IP charges will continue (around MYR 0.04/hour).

  • Volume charges will continue as normal. (The cost varies depending on the total volume)

  • Snapshot charges will continue (if any).

Tip: If you don’t frequently use your GPU instance, consider shelving it instead of stopping. It’s a more cost-effective option while keeping your setup ready for future use.
