What is cPanel extended lifecycle support fee?
The cPanel Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) fee is a monthly charge applied when you’re using an outdated version of cPanel that has reached its end-of-life status but continues to receive limited security updates under cPanel’s ELS program. This fee helps cover the cost of maintaining extended support for legacy software versions.
The ELS fee was introduced in August 2024 and is billed monthly. It is subject to adjustment every six months, with the next revision scheduled for July 1, 2025. For services running beyond December 31, 2025, ELS charges will only apply up to that date, unless cPanel announces further updates.
For a detailed breakdown of ELS charges by license type, please refer to our Extended Lifecycle Support Fee.
To avoid these charges, we recommend upgrading your operating system to a supported cPanel version.
