How To Create Email Forwarder In DirectAdmin

Introduction

Email forwarder is one of the function in the Direct Admin that will allow your original email address to forward any messages that it received to the destination email address. This will work well if you manage multiple email accounts to receive emails messages under one mailbox. Steps below will guide you to ensure you can setup your own email forwarder using DirectAdmin.

 

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials to login into the DirectAdmin.
  • The original email address and the destination email address in which all messages receive by the original email address will be forward to.

Step 1: Login to DirectAdmin

  1. Navigate to your DirectAdmin login page (e.g., http://yourdomainname.com:2222).
  2. Enter your credentials such as username and password.

 

Step 2: Inside the DirectAdmin, go to the E-Mail Management section. Then click at “Forwarders”

 

Step 3: After being inside Forwarder, click on the “Create new E-mail Forwarder”

 

Step 5: Place your original email address and destination email address

  1. For the “Forwarder Name” field, place your original email address (e.g., user1@yourdomainname.com)
  2. In the “Destination Email” field, enter your destination email address where all the emails that received by original email address will be forwarded to
