Wondering how is your website performing? Here is a list of tools that can help you to check your website uptime and performance.

This is a free online tool to track and check your site uptime and performance from all over the world. This free tool is available at www.200please.com.

2. PageSpeed plugin / extension

The PageSpeed plugin is installed by default in Chrome browser. You can access it by selecting the tools menu at the top-right of your Chrome browser window, then select Tools -> Developer tools.

In the Chrome Developer Tools pane, click the PageSpeed tab to switch to the PageSpeed Insights panel.

Navigate Chrome to a web page, and click the red ANALYZE button to run PageSpeed Insights.

If you are using Firefox browser, you can visit the PageSpeed page to install the extension.

 

3. YSlow add-on

YSlow add-on is an extension you can install for Firefox browser to analyze web pages to find out why they are slow. The analysis is based on Yahoo!’s rules for high performance web sites. Download and install YSlow.

After installing the add-on, you can start up Firebug at your Firefox browser’s top right menu.

Once the Firebug control panel is opened, you can see the YSlow tab at the far right corner. Navigate to the website you want to run the analysis and click the Run Test button.

4) Google Webmaster Tool

You can sign up and use the Google Webmaster Tools to check the performance of your website. In the Webmaster Tools, select the Site Performance option under the Labs menu option to view your site performance.
