This guide is specifically designed for NovaCloud instance users who need to delete a Security Group that is no longer needed or has become obsolete. Prerequisites:

Security Group is no longer required for any of your NovaCloud instances.
Security Group should not be actively assigned to any NovaCloud instances.
Active access to the IPSERVEONE customer portal.

Step-by-step Guide:

1) Access NovaCloud Dashboard

Begin by logging into your customer portal. Once logged in, click on “NovaCloud” from the left-hand navigation menu. This will take you to your NovaCloud dashboard, which serves as the central hub for managing all your cloud resources.

2) Navigate to Security Groups

Within the NovaCloud menu on the left, click on “Security Groups”.
This action will display a list of all existing Security Groups configured within your NovaCloud environment.

3) Initiate Deletion Action

Locate the Security Group you wish to remove from the list.
On the right-hand side of that Security Group’s row, you will find an “Actions” button. Click this button to reveal a dropdown menu of available actions for that specific Security Group.

4) Select Delete Option

From the dropdown menu that appears, click on “Delete”. It is important to confirm you are selecting the correct option for the intended Security Group.

Tips 🖊️: Note that the “Actions” menu also offers options like “View Assignments” and “Rename”, which can be useful for verification before proceeding with deletion.

5) Confirm Deletion Request

After clicking “Delete,” a “DELETE SECURITY GROUP” confirmation pop-up window will appear.
To proceed with the deletion, click the “DELETE” button within this pop-up window. This is a critical step, as it prevents accidental deletions.

6) Acknowledge Deletion Confirmation

Once you’ve confirmed the deletion, another pop-up window will appear.
To finalize the process and close this notification, click “OK”.

Important Note ⚠️: The Security Group will then be permanently removed from your NovaCloud environment and will no longer appear in your list of Security Groups.
