  • Access to WHM with ‘root’ user privileges.
  • Basic understanding of cPanel and WHM navigation.

 

Step-by-step guide

Important Note ⚠️: If you just wish to check the current allowed size, refer to the ‘First Configuration’ would be enough. For increasing the size, you will need to change on ‘First Configuration’ and ‘Second Configuration’.

First, you will need to login into your cPanel as root

  • Login to your cPanel control panel.
    The URL to your cPanel typically will be like <domain>:2087 or <server IP>:2087.

 

First Configuration: PHP settings in Tweak Settings

  1. Search ‘tweak’ in the search bar on top left. Select Tweak Settings to enter settings page.
  2. Once you have entered the settings page, navigate to PHP tab to check the PHP configuration value.

Second Configuration: Exim Configuration Manager

  1. Search ‘exim’ in the search bar on top left. Select Exim Configuration Manager to enter settings page.
  2. Once you have entered the settings page, switch to Advanced Editor and scroll down until you see Add additional configuration setting.
  3. Click Add additional configuration setting to add a new configuration in Exim. You will see there is a new field appeared.
  4. Select message_size_limit the drop-down.
  5. Then, you may enter the new value for the size and scroll to the bottom and Save. **Please make sure that the value is same as the value from ‘First Configuration’.
