The alias domain is a secondary domain whose function is to point to the user’s primary domain. When the alias domain ‘s website is accessed by the users, the primary website is displayed instead.

Here are the steps to add the domain alias:

1. Before adding the alias domain, make sure it’s registered and pointed to the same server as the primary domain.

2. Now login to DirectAdmin control panel and go to  ‘Domain Pointers’ under the category of Advanced Features.

3. Key in the domain that you wish to add as the alias to the primary domain, and click Add.

4. Once added, you will see the alias domain appears under Source Domain.

5. You may then manage the DNS records of the domain by clicking at the ‘Manage’.  If you want to remove the domain pointer, just tick the Select box of the domain and click ‘Delete’.

6. Once done, allow 2-24 hours for the DNS propagation.
