Unable to remove credit card from recurring payment
Recurring payments begin processing 8 days before your service expiry date. During this processing period, you will not be able to edit or remove the credit card linked to the service, as the payment gateway provider locks it.
If your credit card has expired or can no longer be used, you may:
-
Remove or update it before the 8-day processing period begins, or
-
Wait until after the service has expired, which is 9 days after the recurring payment processing started.
If the assigned credit card fails during the recurring attempt, a payment failure notification will be sent to you. You can then renew the service manually through the Customer Portal using an alternative credit card or another available payment method.
Example:
If your service expires on 15 July 2025, the recurring payment process will start on 7 July 2025. Between 7 and 15 July, you will not be able to remove or change the saved credit card. Once the service passes the expiry date (from 16 July onwards), the credit card can then be removed.
