How to disable object storage?
If you wish to disable your Object Storage, please ensure the following conditions are met first:
-
Your bucket is empty (no items stored).
-
Your bucket is set to Public.
-
You have active cloud points.
If these conditions are not met, you may encounter the following error messages:
-
Bucket not empty
Error message: “Unable to delete the bucket as it still contains items.” -
Existing bucket or access keys
Error message: “The user still has buckets and/or access keys.” -
No cloud credit available
Error message: “Your account has been deactivated. You cannot create, manage buckets, or access keys at this time.”
Once All Conditions Are Met
When your bucket is empty, set to public, and your cloud points are active, you can disable Object Storage by:
-
Clicking on Disable Object Storage.
-
Entering your account password to confirm.
Once the process is completed, your Object Storage will be disabled and you will no longer be able to create or access any buckets or access keys.
