Introduction

DirectAdmin with the Evolution Skin provides an easy-to-use interface for managing your website files. One of the most common tasks is uploading files—such as scripts, images, or documents—directly through the built-in File Manager. This allows you to place files into the right directories (like public_html or a subfolder) without setting up FTP or SSH. You can upload single files, multiple files, or even a .zip archive that can be extracted on the server.

This feature is especially handy for quick updates, like replacing an image or adding new content, and it keeps the process secure inside your control panel.

Prerequisites

  • Access to a DirectAdmin account.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1:Access FTP Menu

  • Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel.
  • Enter your credentials and click Login. If you’re logging in to DirectAdmin using username “admin”, please refer here to navigate to User Level.

Step 2: Navigate to File Manager

  • On the left menu, go to   SYSTEM INFO & FILES
  • Click File Manager

Step 3: Select File to Upload

  1. Click Upload
  2. Choose the File want to upload
  3. Click Open
  4. Click START UPLOAD

Tips 🖊️: You can also drag and drop files directly into the File Manager upload area instead of using the file picker.

Step 4: Verify

    • Once the upload is complete, the file will appear in your selected directory
    • Confirm the file name, size.
Tips 🖊️: If you uploaded a .zip file, you can right-click it and choose Extract to unpack the contents.

Conclusion

By following the steps above, you can easily upload files to your hosting account using DirectAdmin with the Evolution Skin. Whether you need to upload a single file, multiple files, or a compressed .zip archive, the built-in File Manager provides a fast and convenient way to get your content online. Once uploaded, you can also extract, edit, or move these files directly within the panel, eliminating the need for external FTP or SSH tools.
