What are the next steps after buying a domain?

After purchasing a domain, you can begin setting it up based on your intended use. Below are the common next steps:

1. For Website Setup
   If you’re planning to build a website, such as an online store or business site, you may share the domain details with your website developer so they can configure it on the hosting server.

   If you don’t have a hosting plan yet, consider subscribing to our NovaCloud Hosting. Visit https://www.ipserverone.com/novacloud/ or contact our sales team at sales@ipserverone.com for more information.
   Note: While we provide the hosting infrastructure, you’ll need to engage your own web developer for website creation and design.

2. Configure DNS Settings
   Ensure your DNS zone file is correctly created, based on the nameservers registered with your domain. This is crucial to ensure your domain resolves properly to your website or other services.

3. For Email Setup
   If you’re using the domain for email purposes, provide your domain name to your email provider so they can configure it on their mail server.

4. Update DNS Records
   Once your domain is connected to your hosting or email service, log in to your domain’s DNS platform and add the necessary records (e.g., A, MX, CNAME) to ensure correct routing.

5. Allow DNS Propagation
   After DNS changes are made, please allow 2 to 48 hours for full DNS propagation across the internet.

6. Test Your Domain
   Once propagation is complete, enter your domain in a web browser to confirm it is resolving correctly.
